Lakers Roster for 2005 Congratulations and Farewell to our 2005 Graduates We want to wish these players a fond farewell and say thank you for your hard work and devotion over the years. These three players epitomize what coaches look for in a player. From the moment they stepped on the field, to the moment they walked off, they played hard. Jason Pattis- His quiet leadership was certainly evident this season. Starting off his Lakers career as a catcher, he eventually moved to Centerfield and sometimes pitcher. When Jason is involved in a play, you are always confident that something good will happen. Jason's solid defense, powerful bat and strong influence on the younger players will be greatly missed. Tommy Reeves- One of the most pleasant players off the field and most intimidating on the field, Tommy is a natural born leader. Although his career with the Lakers was full of injuries, the time he spent with the team, did not go unnoticed. Always coming up with a clutch hit or a big pitching performance, Tommy earned great respect from his fellow players and his coaches. Mike Sala- Cut face, broken tooth, chugging down the baseline, these are the images that stick with you when thinking of Mike. Always working hard, always sacrificing for his team, Mike is a truly selfless player. He was a solid second baseman in his three years with the Lakers. His solid hitting and steady fielding will be missed. Lakers Roster For 2006
Congratulations and Farewell to our 2006 Graduates It is with pride and sadness that we say goodbye to the players of 2006. These players were exactly why coaches like to coach. Good luck to you in the future. Danny Nestman - Tenacious D. leaves us, but we'll never forget him. With his flaming red hair blazing across the outfield and his fantastic base running skills, he will be missed. Danny may have been quiet, but was a quality ball player, and a fine person. James Del Grecco - James was such a powerful hitter. When he connected, you could hear the pop off of his bat. His fiery personality was just what we needed during some tough games. We wish James the best of luck. Tommy Rogers - Tommy leaves the Lakers a year early, and he'll be missed. We all remember his raw talent. No one had a better work ethic than Tommy. He was a fine pitcher and a fielder that we were always confident in. Kevin Scheetz - Another player leaving us early, although he was on the team for three years. Kevin is the Iron Man. He seemed to have pitched 1000 innings for us over the years. Sheetzie was intimidating. At any time, he could blast the ball into the outfield, and when he was on the mound, could blow away any hitter. Tenacious D on the Mound! Lakers Roster For 2007 (FIRST PLACE) 15-1
Congratulations and Farewell to our 2007 Graduates We want to wish these players a
fond farewell and say thank you for your hard work and devotion over the
years. These three players epitomize what coaches look for in a player. From
the moment they stepped on the field, to the moment they walked off, they
played hard.
Mike Abasto - A coach can always be confident with "Stonewall" behind the plate. He is a strong and confident player. His smarts and great skills were his strengths. Mike has a mind like a manager, he understands his team and demands respect from his fellow players. We will miss his big hits and huge sense of humor. It has been a pleasure knowing him for these past two years. Mike Roselini - Mike has been with the Lakers for four years. He was a solid catcher and became a great outfielder. You can always count on Mike for the big hit. He was also one of the most coachable players. Mike is a team player, always doing what's best for his teammates. He came the field and played hard every day. Aside from his great play, Mike is one of the nicest kids you'll ever know. Steven Osvold - Steve-O, Ozzie, whatever you call him, you will be impressed. Steve was a solid pitcher and infielder. But he made his greatest impression with the bat. Always getting the big hit and always giving fear to opposing pitchers. Steve was with the Lakers for four years. He has a quiet demeanor and a calm confidence that made him a wonderful mentor for the younger players. And, I still owe him a steak dinner! Good Luck to you all, in baseball and in life! 2008 Lakers (Champions)
2008 Graduates
Zack D'urso - Although quiet and down to earth, Zack has made a great impact on the Lakers over the years. The players have a great deal of respect for Zack and so do his coaches. He is a fantastic player to have on any team. We look forward to his progress in the future. Matt Hulbert - The finest centerfielder in the league with a powerful bat. Matty, with his incredible enthusiasm and team spirit, will most certainly be missed. His leadership has not gone unnoticed and will be difficult to replace. We expect great things from Matt. C.J. Abrahamsen - CJ always seems to make things happen. When he is on base, he is always doing something big. CJ is a stellar pitcher with a strong bat, few players are more fun to watch. Aside from this, he is one of the most personable players we have ever had. Spencer Severson - One of the most likable and memorable kids ever to pass through the Lakers. As many people have noted, Spencer is the outfielder who reads the ball better than anyone and always seems to be in the middle of every big rally.
