Through this class we will be looking at the history, make up, and day to day actions of the executive branch of the United States Government. We will be doing much of this through a simulation where we will act as working members of the Executive. It should be a lot of fun. Check in regularly for more Executive Branch Class news!

President George W. Bush meets with his Homeland Security Council and other senior staff members to discuss the Department of Homeland Security. The meeting took place in the Roosevelt Room of the White House Thursday morning, June 6, 2002.

Quotes from Past Executive Branch Students:

  • "Oooh I want to be like Spencer Abraham, he's dreamy"

  • "Elaine Chao is SO real"

  • "Anthony Principi is off the heezy fo sheezy"

  • "My favorite thing about Rod Paige is not only that he was a trustee and an officer of the Board of Education of the Houston Independent School District from 1989 to 1994, but its because we are both Virgo"

  • "Mr. Wingren said that if I eat right, brush my teeth regularly, and study the inner workings of the executive branch through simulation strewn with crisis situations, I can be as successful as United States Trade Representative, Ambassador Robert B. Zoellick. I think he's right. Thanks Mr. Wingren"

There you have it... More to come soon!
